More than 350 Benidorm students celebrate World Water Day
On the occasion of the celebration of International Water Day, more than 350 3rd and 4th-year Primary School students in Benidorm have been able to enjoy the performance of 'The Travelling Drop', an interactive work performed by Talleralia, an experience organized by the Department of Education with the collaboration of the concessionaire company Hidraqua.
The students who participated in the two screenings that took place today in the Assembly Hall of the City Hall are studying at CEIP Leonor Canalejas, Puig Campana, Vasco Núñez de Balboa, Bautista Lledó, La Cala and Nuestra Señora Catholic Center. In addition to the accompanying teachers, the councillor of the Education department, Maite Moreno, attended the representation.
'The Travelling Drop' tells the poetic and fun journey, led by some very peculiar scientists, of a drop of water through rivers, seas, oceans and clouds. The work aims to instil in minors the importance of water in our lives.
The International Water Day is commemorated on March 22, sponsored by the United Nations General Assembly. The commemorative events in Benidorm began on Monday with a visit to the WWTP (Wastewater Treatment Plant) in which representatives of the local association movement and the Neighborhood Council participated.
The activities will continue tomorrow, Thursday, with another proposal aimed at young people, an 'escape room' at Plaza de sus Majestades los Reyes de España in two sessions: from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in which students from 4th, 5th and 6th year of Primary Education from the different centres of Benidorm will participate
