Local and National Police meet to improve coordination in protecting victims of gender-based violence

To improve the protection of victims of gender-based violence, the Police Coordination Committee, as established in the protocol for collaboration and coordination between the Local Police and the National Police, met this morning at Benidorm City Hall.
The meeting was attended by the Councilor for Equality, Ángela Zarazozí; the Chief Superintendent of the Local Police, Luis Martín Arévalo; the Commissioner of the Benidorm National Police, Luis M. Sánchez; the head of the Violence Against Women Unit of the Government Subdelegation, Eva Montesinos; as well as municipal Equality and Social Services experts from the City Council, the Denia Women's Center, and the ICALI representative.
Both Councillor Ángela Zarazozí and the Chief Superintendent of the Local Police described the meeting as "productive and very necessary for the good of the people we protect."
