Benidorm has fired this morning its former mayor, José Llorca Cortés, who passed away at dawn on Friday.
Llorca Cortés served as mayor of the city between May 1977 and April 1978. He was also provisional mayor between September 1973 and January 1974.
Many neighbors, relatives and friends have come this morning to the Parish Church of Sant Jaume and Santa Anna to say goodbye to the former mayor. Among them, the mayor, Toni Pérez, and councilors of the three groups with representation in the Consistory.
