The II Microtheatre Festival in Benidorm returns to Hort de Colón
The Festival of Microteatro in Benidorm, organized with the collaboration of the Department of Culture, will hold its second edition on the 26th and 27th of April, with the representation, in Hort de Colón, of six theatrical pieces of no more than fifteen minutes of duration. The programming allows the election, the order and the day of the works that have a price of five euros each.
The Councilor for Culture, Ana Pellicer, has presented the Festival accompanied by the promoter, Miguel Ángel Fernández, and by the director of Benidorm theater, Manuel Troncoso who will direct one of the micro-spaces, 'Bla bla dad', performed by local artists Olga Reinoso and Álvaro Crivillés. Pellicer has pointed to l'Hort de Colón as the "special and ideal place" to host this type of performances because "if something characterizes the theater is the proximity to the public and here proximity there is, and much."
"Life," said Pellicer, citing the festival's promotional video, "consists of small things and small things if they are put together are bigger than the big ones" and also that "happiness consists in living the magic of small things" , as is the microtheatre "and proof of this is the success of last year's edition" and the quality of the works that will be presented in this second edition.
For his part, Manuel Troncoso has referred to the piece that will be performed by the Benidorm actors of Theater Workshop. "The guys -the indicated- are very excited, it's a very funny play" and has encouraged all the neighbors and visitors to enjoy 'Bla bla dad' and the rest of the pieces: 'Ego te absolvo', with Juan Meseguer and Axel Novo; Fine Necrophilia, performed by María Kaltembacher and Javier Sáez, 'Psycho meetic (here I catch you, here I kill you), with Patricia Jordà and Nicolás Gaude'; 'Espejito, espejito', with Estefanía Rocamora and Julián Salguero; and 'La chica del guante', with Raquel Pardos, Verónica Mey and Manuel Tiedra.
On the other hand, Miguel Ángel Fernández, has indicated that the performances will be staged in the day of reflection of the General and Autonomous elections, which "will go well to rest from so much politics" and that this year's Festival "has won in seriousness and in variety ". "We continue with musical 'micros' - he emphasized - but we have other genres that will take us from suspense through romantic comedy to the thriller. Many things will happen and very varied in each of the rooms of Hort de Colón, "he concluded.
Tickets for the II Microteatro Festival will go on sale on Monday 8 at Hort de Colón, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
