Tomorrow 'L'Ambaixà de l'Àngel' will bring together the Mare de Déu with the Risen Christ on Easter Sunday
The General and Holy Burial procession brings together all the brotherhoods of Benidorm
Thousands of visitors and neighbours crowded around the route that started at Plaza de Sant Jaume and continued through the streets of Mayor, Alameda del Mayor Pedro Zaragoza, Los Ángeles, Pintor Lozano, Ricardo, Martínez Alejos, Paseo de la Carretera and Santa Faz to return to Plaza de Sant Jaume.
The institutional representation at this solemn event was headed by the mayor, Toni Pérez, the Fiestas Councilor, Mariló Cebreros and practically the entire municipal corporation. The senators, Agustín Almodóbar and Gerardo Camps, also participated; and the regional deputies, José Manuel González de Zárate and Manuel Pérez Fenoll.
The Royal Brotherhood of Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza y la Paz and Nuestro Padre Jesús de la Salud y Humildad participated in what has been the most massive procession of this Holy Week so far. ; the Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, with its president, Mª Dolores Cano; the Sacramental Brotherhood of the Holy Supper, chaired by Mª Teresa Cantó who, in turn, is the chairperson this year of the Greater Board of Brotherhoods of Holy Week of Benidorm; the Brotherhood of the Prayer of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, with its president, Rafael González Castilla; the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Forgiveness and Good Death, with its, Susana Martónez; and the Brotherhood of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores presided over by Estela Canales.
Benidorm Holy Week events will continue tomorrow, Easter Sunday in all the city's parishes. Among them, it is worth highlighting 'l'Ambaixà de l'Àngel' which at 8:00 a.m. will depart from the church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna towards Paseo de la Alameda where it will meet the throne of Jesus and the verses that will be recited.
