José Miguel Moyá, excited, announces his upcoming retirement after decades at the center's helm
End-of-year concert and graduation ceremony at Benidorm Conservatory

The Cultural Centre auditorium hosted the end-of-year concert and the academic ceremony to present the graduation certificates to the young people who have completed their training at the José Pérez Barceló Municipal Professional Music Conservatory.
The event brought together hundreds of family members and friends of the centre's students and the 16 young people from the 2024-25 class who have completed their training in its classrooms. Among those in attendance was the Councillor for Education, Maite Moreno, who enjoyed the performance alongside other members of the municipal council.
Just after 7:00 p.m., under the direction of Antonio Cuenca, the Wind and Percussion Orchestra of the 1st and 2nd years of Professional Studies began the concert with a performance of Ted Huggens' Classical Symphony and its three movements: Allegro animato, Andante con espressione, and Rondo presto.
Next, the director of the conservatory, José Miguel Mollá, greeted the audience at what was his "last end-of-year concert" at the municipal institution. Mollá took the opportunity to announce his upcoming retirement "after decades" of working in the training of young musicians in Benidorm and thanked the Department of Education for its support throughout this time.
Following remarks from the current director of the conservatory, Professor Felipe Juan Lanuza, he took the baton to conduct the Wind and Percussion Orchestra of the 3rd and 4th years of Vocational Education, which performed "Appalachian Overture" by James Barnes and "Ross Roy" by Jacod de Haan.
Finally, after the musical performances, the mandatory graduation caps were presented to the 16 students of the 2024-25 class who have completed their training.
