Benidorm will present its Urban Agenda Action Plan next week to advance a more sustainable and inclusive city

Benidorm City Council will hold the public presentation of the Benidorm 2030 Urban Agenda Action Plan next Tuesday, June 18th. This is a roadmap that will set the course for urban development over the coming years to ensure the city remains an even more sustainable and inclusive city. The presentation will take place at 10:00 a.m. on the fifth floor of the El Torrejó municipal building and is open to the participation of all citizens and local groups from all walks of life.
The Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, explained that the Urban Agenda is "the document that defines local priorities for addressing the main medium- and long-term urban challenges." These include "climate change adaptation, improved access to housing, sustainable mobility, the digital transition, and innovation in municipal management," providing a roadmap for better addressing these challenges in the short and medium term.
During the presentation of the Urban Agenda Action Plan, the strategic lines and key projects that form the basis of this urban transformation will be detailed, and a summary video will be shown outlining the main pillars of the plan. The event will feature representatives from the governing team, municipal technical staff, and social and economic stakeholders involved in the development of the document.
Toni Pérez stated that "the Urban Agenda represents a true commitment from the city," as well as "a firm commitment to a more fair, cohesive, and resilient development model, with the active involvement of citizens and aimed at improving the quality of life for all." Not surprisingly, he noted, "its drafting was the result of an open participatory process, in which, in addition to citizens, various sectors and entities within the municipality also participated, thus ensuring that the proposals respond to the true needs and concerns of the territory and its inhabitants."
With this presentation, Benidorm "consolidates its role as a benchmark in strategic urban planning and as a city committed to the principles of the 2030 Agenda, the Spanish Urban Agenda, and to the present and future well-being of its citizens and visitors," he added. Finally, the mayor invited all of Benidorm's citizens to participate in this presentation, so they can learn firsthand all the details of this document "which defines the Benidorm we all want and outlines the steps we must take to achieve it."
