The initiative is bringing forward its launch to serve university students and also high school students preparing for the university entrance exams

The Education Department has launched the ‘Sessió contínua’ program this Tuesday to help Benidorm students prepare for their exams

Benidorm City Council's Department of Education will launch the "Sessió Contínua" program tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12th, to "once again provide students in our city, both university students and those in their final year of high school (Baccalaurate), with a municipal space with extended hours where they can study and prepare for their exams," as reported by the councilor for the area, Maite Moreno.

The City Council has thus brought forward the start of this service by a week, and this year it will run continuously until July 15th, so that "for two months we are providing students who have exams during this period with a space where they can study quietly, with classmates, throughout the day and part of the night."

Moreno pointed out that “the experience of all previous editions confirms that for many students, having this alternative study space to their home is a great help, and that is why we are repeating this initiative for another year, also extending it in duration, to offer them an environment in which they can concentrate better and without the distractions they may have at home.”

This year, ‘Sessió Contínua’ will take place at the Adult Education Centre (EPA) located on Escuelas Street, next to the CEIP Leonor Canalejas school. Unlike previous years, when the service was divided into two shifts and had split hours, this time the service will be provided continuously between May 12 and July 15. Regarding opening hours, the facilities will be open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., while on Saturdays and Sundays, they will be open from 9:00 a.m. to midnight.

Moreno pointed out that "we expect many students to use the service" and that they "will face the upcoming exams with confidence and success," especially this year, in which "there is a lot of uncertainty among a large part of the second-year high school students who are preparing for the PAU –university entrance exams– and other levels due to the indefinite strike by teaching staff."
