Conference in Benidorm by the promoter of formula radio in Spain, Rafael Revert
Within the cycle of conferences of Benidorm Opinion Club, the City Hall Assembly Hall was the scene, last night, of the conference 'The radio of our life', given by the precursor and promoter of formula radio in Spain, Rafael Revert.
With the room practically full, and presented by the president of the Club, Manuel Ciges, and the journalist Alberto Picó, who was founder and director of the 40 Principales of Cadena SER (1966-1991), he described his beginnings in the world of music and radio broadcasting, with the help of historical figures of the medium such as Tomás Martín Blanco or Andrés Morat and how he invented, together with his team of collaborators, a format and a style that forever changed radio in Spain.
The public, including the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, other members of the municipal corporation, and the regional deputy, José Ramón González de Zárate, has enjoyed the anecdotes of a lifetime of a character who has been all in musical radio in our country, with a professional career that, in addition to the Prisa group station, has traveled through media such as Cadena 100, Ediciones Digital or the magazines 'El gran musical' and 'Billboard'.
The last of the activities scheduled by the Benidorm Opinion Club for 2023 will be its Ordinary Assembly on December 12, Tuesday, after which, a colloquium dinner will take place for its members that will be attended by the local entrepreneur Julio Sánchez, general director of the technology company Energy Sistem.
