Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals raises funds with the traditional ‘Euro Marathon’
After a year of 'stoppage' forced by the pandemic, Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals has recovered the traditional 'Euro Marathon', an initiative to raise funds for the next festivities and with which businesses, hospitality establishments collaborate , residents and also tourists. The mayor, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; and the queens of Festes Majors Patronals, Paula Pérez and Sofía Fuster, together with the president of the Commission, Batiste Rostoll, have been in charge of releasing the adhesive tape, depositing the first euros on it. Then it was the turn of the ladies of the court of honor and the rest of the members of the Corporation who have accompanied the Commission in this 'Euro Marathon', which on this occasion began in Tomás Ortuño street at the height of l'Hort de Colón.
In the late morning the string of euros collected reached Asunción Street. The ‘Euro Marathon’ will continue throughout this afternoon raising funds and adding meters of coins for the next parties.
