The mayor and the councilwoman of Culture bet on improving the dependencies that house Unión Ciclista and the Band of cornets and drums
The City Council will remodel the municipal facilities of Mercasa

Benidorm City Council will remodel the municipal offices of Mercasa area, in which, in addition to a warehouse, there are several locations where two entities of the city have their headquarters: Unión Ciclista and the Band of cornets and drums Virgen de la Esparanza y de la Paz. The mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Culture, Ana Pellicer, explained that "these facilities require an important adaptation, because, apart from some very specific maintenance tasks, in recent decades there has been hardly any action and investment in them".
After visiting these units, the mayor and the councilwoman of Culture have pointed out that "with the appropriate work and investment these spaces would be much more functional and comfortable, and even the entities that use them could give them more use". In this regard, the mayor and the councilwoman have moved that "once implemented the improvement of the dependencies, it is essential to regularize the use and enjoyment of these facilities by Unión Ciclista and the band of cornets and drums Virgen de la Esperanza and de la Paz, through an agreement of cession, in which the conditions of use and maintenance of the premises are collected ".
The mayor has announced that "we are going to give instructions to the municipal technicians so that they immediately start working on the elaboration of a project for the integral improvement of these Mercasa dependencies to have as soon as possible a valuation that will allow us to know how much money we must invest in the renovation of these spaces ".
