The Casa de Andalucía in Benidorm celebrates the I International Flamenco Festival at Óscar Esplá
The Casa de Andalucía in Benidorm celebrated last night the first International Flamenco Festival in a crowded Óscar Esplá auditorium, in Parque de l'Aigüera. At 10 pm the program began, with Alfredo Tejada and Antonio de la Luz with his guitar as the main guest artists on the bill. Paquito Sánchez, Antonio Manuel Ruiz 'Escuelas' and Faustino Fernández and his flamenco guitar also performed.
A contest, organized by the Casa de Andalucía in Benidorm and the Cultural Federation of Andalusia to the South of the Valencian Community (FECUAS), with the collaboration of the Benidorm City Council and the sponsorship of the Provincial Council of Alicante. The acting mayor, Toni Pérez, attended the festival, accompanied by the acting Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, and members of the corporation. Along with them were the president of the local house of Andalusia, Raúl Romero, and the president of FECUAS, Luis Romero.
The biggest ovations of the night were received by singer Alfredo Tejada and guitarist Antonio de la Luz, artists who have a long and successful career behind them and numerous awards. The gala was presented by Leonor Jiménez.
