RTVE will communicate from Plaza de la Hispanidad the vote of the Spanish jury
Benidorm will host a Pre Party on May 14 to encourage the Eurovision Song Contest final
Benidorm will host a Pre Party on May 14 to encourage the final of Eurovision Song Contest final, which is celebrated that day in the Italian city of Turin and in which the winner of Benidorm Fest, Chanel, will represent Spain with the theme 'SloMo'. The mayor, Toni Pérez, together with the Councilor for Events and Festivals, Jesús Carrobles, have transferred today the first details of this Pre Party Benidorm Fest Eurovision, organized by the City Council with the collaboration of RTVE and which will take place at Plaza de la Hispanidad.
Toni Pérez has advanced that this Pre Party Benidorm Fest Eurovision will have "an estimated capacity for about 4,000 people" and for it, the City Council will have a stage and 3 large screens on which, starting at 9:00 p.m., the final can be followed. In addition, on the occasion of this event "the 'technoito' of Plaza de la Hispanidad will enter the scene at full capacity".
The Pre Party will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a DJ session with "themes of Eurovision, Benidorm Fest and Benidorm Festival", then "the performances of Marta Sango, Javiera Mena and Unique", all of the semi-finalists of the last edition of Benidorm Fest. Other surprises are also not ruled out.
The mayor has assured that this Pre Party "will be a party dedicated to Eurovision" and a celebration "at the level of Eurovision Contest, the festival itself, the production made by RTVE and Benidorm" which, as announced weeks ago, Nieves Álvarez will be on the stage and will announce the vote of the Spanish jury.
As added by the mayor, "having the invaluable collaboration of RTVE and having Nieves Álvarez transferring the decision of the Spanish jury, Benidorm will have a special role that night", in "an important tourist moment for the promotion of the town".
In addition to working so that this Pre-Party reaches the greatest possible impact, the City Council "is going to ensure that the celebration causes the least possible impact in the space of Plaza de la Hispanidad". To do this, it is already operating in a coordinated manner among different municipal areas, preparing a device for emergencies and contingency plans."
Toni Pérez has informed us that the assembly of the stage and the screens at Plaza de la Hispanidad will begin on May 13, Friday. That same night the rehearsals will take place; while the traffic at Plaza de la Hispanidad will be cut off the same afternoon on Saturday, the 14th, at 5:00 p.m.
