Benidorm starts the ‘Gastro League’ of the Benidorm Fest’ on Friday with ‘food trucks’ and DJs until Sunday 2
The countdown to the fourth edition of the Benidorm Fest has already begun and this Friday 24th will be the first date of its calendar of activities with the start of the ‘Gastro League’, a gastronomic event that will last until Sunday 2nd February at Plaza de SS MM Los Reyes de España.
The ‘Gastro League’ will have a dozen ‘food truck’ stalls with different themes and types of food set up in the square from midday until night. In addition, every day there will be performances by renowned DJs who will liven up the evenings and nights of the ten days of the programme with music.
In addition, on the occasion of this initiative the so-called ‘Benidorm Burger Fest’ has been created, a hamburger on brioche bread seasoned with slightly spicy Benidorm sauce, beef, smoked Idiazábal cheese, shredded beef cooked at a low temperature and crispy onion.
The Councillor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, has highlighted the initiative because “the best food truck event in Spain and the most vibrant festival in the country will meet at Plaza del Ayuntamiento in an experience that will combine flavour, rhythm and emotion”.
Plaza de SS MM Los Reyes de España will have a 10x5 metre screen and a stage where the DJs and artists of the Fest will appear, the doors of which will open this Friday at 8 pm.
Thus, on the same Friday from 9 pm to midnight, DJ Plan B will take the stage. On Saturday 25th, from 9 pm to midnight, it will be Fonsi Nieto’s performance. The following day, at the same time, Coro Matius will be there. On Monday 27th it will be the turn of a surprise DJ yet to be revealed, on Tuesday from 6 pm to 10 pm Carlos Salinas will be on stage and Wednesday Megayeyo will be on stage from 8 pm to midnight. On Thursday, from 7 pm to 10 pm, Freenipples will delight us with their music. The weekend will be kicked off by Violeta Arriaza DJ from 9 pm to midnight, on Saturday from 7 pm to 10 pm it will be Meneo's turn and the line-up of DJs will be closed on Sunday 2nd by Carmen de la Fuente from 4 pm to 8 pm. Also, every day from noon there will be performances by local DJs on stage.
