Benidorm starts a campaign to encourage purchases, services and consumption in the center and old town

The Department of Mobility of Benidorm City Council, the dealer company of the parking of l'Aigüera EYSA, and the associations Abreca and AICO have reached an agreement to launch a campaign to encourage purchases, services, and consumption that takes place in Benidorm.

With the name #BenidormMasCerca2023, the campaign will allow consumers to obtain one hour of free parking in the l'Aigüera car park when buying in one of the establishments attached to it. This discounted hour will be effective only in the aforementioned car park "although in the future and depending on the results, the possibility of extending it to more public and private car parks in Benidorm will be studied" said the Councilor for Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate.

The agreement signed by the parties establishes that the objective of the campaign is to encourage purchases, services, and consumption in the center and the old town of the city. For this, the participating establishments will give away one free hour for a ticket whose minimum amount is 20 euros. The tickets, however, will not be cumulative, so only one hour per day and vehicle will be discounted, even if more than one ticket was obtained.

Each one of the establishments will receive one hundred free one-hour tickets –equivalent to 1.90 euros, according to the general rate in force- and they will be able to use them for each sale operation they have carried out. They will be valid for six months.

Participating establishments must have their current opening license in the area within the inner perimeter of the figure formed by Europa Avenue (between the coast and Comunidad Valenciana Avenue), Comunidad Valenciana Avenue, Alfonso Puchades and Jaime I (up to the coast).

González de Zárate also specified that "the businesses that participate in the campaign will not have to pay any amount for participating in it." The mayor indicated regarding the campaign that "it is a very interesting initiative because it benefits residents and visitors and local businesses as it is a very powerful incentive to shop in the city. They will have one hour free with a minimum spend of 20 euros”. At that point, the councilor recalled that the previously existing bonus established the minimum consumed at 60 euros. "We prioritize turnover, but also our neighbors and the people who come to spend and consume in the city," he stated.
