Thus begins ECOVID, the first program of the great employment plan promoted by the City Council and subsidized with European funds through LABORA

Benidorm registers the job offer to hire 84 people over 30 years of age for 12 months

Benidorm registra la oferta de empleo para contratar durante 12 meses a 84 personas mayores de 30 años

Benidorm City Council is going to hire 84 unemployed people aged 30 and over for 12 months within the great employment plan promoted by the City Council and co-financed by LABORA. As reported by the mayor, Toni Pérez, "from the City Council we have already sent LABORA the job offer of the ECOVID program, which includes the 84 positions in demand and corresponding to different occupations."
Specifically, the offer includes 55 positions in the Customer Service area (code 44111018); 10 of Building maintainers (code 71911012); four for Maintenance and Repair Electricians (code 75211071); seven of Forest Peones (code 95431028); and eight of public works laborers (code 96011029).
Toni Pérez explained that "people interested in participating in the selection process must be registered in the aforementioned occupations and as unemployed in Espai LABORA in Benidorm". This procedure can be done in person at Espai LABORA in Benidorm, by prior appointment, or through the Internet at the link https://puntlabora.gva.es/puntlabora.
At the time of starting the candidate selection process, Espai LABORA will carry out a survey among the unemployed in Benidorm registered in the demanded occupations, and the City Council will send a list of the people who will participate in the selection process.
The mayor recalled that these 84 contracts are part of ECOVID program, endowed with 2 million euros, of which the City Council will contribute about 750,000. The remaining amount, just over 1.2 million euros, with resources from the European Social Fund, through LABORA within the framework of the 2014-2020 Operational Program of the Valencian Community (Avalem Experiència Plus).
Likewise, Toni Pérez has indicated that “as we have already advanced several weeks ago, in addition to hiring people over 30 years of age, through this great employment plan it is also expected to employ around fifty people under that age, thus reaching all segments of the workforce ”.
These hiring of youth personnel fall within the EMPUJU program, endowed with 1.7 million euros. The City Council contributes more than 625,000 euros to this program, thus complementing LABORA grant of 1.1 million euros from European funds.
In the coming days, information will be given on the occupations in demand among the young unemployed population under 30 years of age.
Toni Pérez has stressed that “for this government team the best social policy is employment and that is why we have firmly opted for this ambitious plan, with which, through the two programs, we will be able to hire around 130 people, injecting thus economy in the families that need it most ”.
The forecast is that this great employment plan will be launched in November.
