Benidorm, protagonist of RTVE programming during BenidormFest week

As the mayor pointed out last Friday at Fitur, Benidorm is very present in RTVE's programming throughout this week on the occasion of BenidormFest, being the set and reference for public radio and television programs.

And this morning on RTVE 'La Gran Consulta' Bus-set, from Benidorm's Levante Beach, Mayor Toni Pérez highlighted "the enthusiasm" with which people live, inside and outside the city, "throughout Spain ”, this “commitment to music and happiness” that BenidormFest represents with which Spain will choose its representative for Eurovision.

Benidorm, on the occasion of BenidormFest, has become part of the route of 'La Gran Consulta' with which the public entity, through this transmedia participation campaign, wants to know what is the model and type of public radio and television that is wanted and the role that citizens expect of it. Toni Pérez has joined the consultation and pointed out that a public television must be "close and useful, with the objective of service" and that, with initiatives such as BenidormFest, "mobilize hopes at a time that are so necessary"•

Duirng his interview, from Levante Beach, with the director of Communication and Participation of RTVE, María Eizaguirre, Toni Pérez highlighted the natural conditions that adorn Benidorm, especially its microclimate "which makes it so attractive" and the involvement of the city for recovering the tourist activity that has characterized it, highlighting the efforts to achieve it.

After participating in the program La Hora de La 1, the mayor spoke with directors of RTVE and with the head of the Spain-Eurovision delegation, Eva Mora; everyone has pointed out the interest that BenidormFest is arousing and its international projection,

Both TVE and RNE are developing a special coverage of BenidormFest and developing programs and connection windows.

On TVE, every day, at 1:00 p.m., direct from Benidorm in the magazine 'Better with you' and in the program 'Corazón', as well as on the news. Even La 2, for Catalonia, broadcasts “Punts de Vista” space from Benidorm. Starting tomorrow, 'España Directo' will be added at 7:30 p.m. and through RTV Play at 9:00 p.m., the program 'Benidorm Calling', which will be joined by 'Gen Playz' from Friday: Canal 24H carries out several direct, as well as the territorial disconnections of La 1. 'Cine de Barrio' also joins BenidormFest on Saturday through the film 'La vida seguil Igual', by Eugenio Martín, with Julio Iglesias as a star, winner of the 1968 Benidorm Festival.

For its part, RNE develops its local and direct news programs on the chain news with BenidormFest news. On Thursday the 27th, Radio3 will join with its program '180 degrees' and on Friday the 28th, Julia Varela and her program 'Tarde lo que late' will broadcast their program from the Assembly Hall of Benidorm City Council. In these last two programs public is allowed to attend it.
