Benidorm opens the application for place in municipal nursery schools and SAPI next Tuesday
The Department of Education of Benidorm City Council opens next Tuesday, April 13, the deadline to request a place in the three municipal nursery schools -Fontanelles, Les Caletes and El Tossalet- and in the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI), Nanets. The Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, has reported that "the provisional offer for the 2021/2022 course from 0 to 2 years in the municipal nurseries is 222 places for families with minors born in the years 2019, 2020 and 2021". The number of provisional vacancies is distributed in 16 places for 0 years; 127, for P1; and 79 2-year-old Infant places for boys and girls born in 2019. However, “depending on demand, there is the possibility of expanding the initial offer by one more unit for 1-year-olds or P2”.
Moreno has clarified that the global offer of the three municipal nursery schools is greater than the places offered, although part of the school positions are already occupied by students enrolled in previous courses who have confirmed their enrollment and that in September they will level up.
As in previous years, "a place may be requested for the‘ unborn ’whose birth is scheduled before April 30," the date on which the ordinary period for applying for admission ends.
The Councilor for Education has stressed that "the process of applying for a place in nursery schools and in the SAPI will be done electronically through the Electronic Headquarters of the City Council (https://sede.benidorm.org/inicio)". Moreno has stressed that "to facilitate this process as much as possible, it will not be necessary to have a digital certificate." In addition, "families that lack technological means will have help for electronic processing at the Youth Information Center, located in Plaza SSMM Reyes de España, from 09:00 to 14:00." It is important that families attach all the required documentation in PDF format to the application.
Moreno recalled that “when it comes to filling the places, the requests of families registered in Benidorm with an antiquity of at least 12 uninterrupted months will be attended first. Next, it will be the turn of the families registered for less than a year; and ultimately, if they were left vacant, the requests of families residing in other locations would be attended to ”. Likewise, she has clarified that "if the demand exceeds the supply of places, only families registered in Benidorm will be included in the official waiting list."
The person in charge of Education explained that “due to the special circumstances derived from the pandemic, this year there have been no Open Days organized in municipal nursery schools and the SAPI. Instead, informative videos have been prepared so that families can learn about the facilities and services available to them and that in the next few days will be available in the Education section of the municipal website along with all the detailed information about the process. of admission, characteristics, resources and endowments of each 'escoleta' ”.
The application period will be open until April 30. The provisional lists will be published on May 24, opening a period of three days for claims. The final lists will be published on June 3, which may be claimed until June 8. Each center will set the enrollment date.
