Benidorm kicks off the 'Classics at 9' series with a spectacular piano concert by Carla Román

Last night, the Benidorm Cultural Centre hosted the launch of the "Classics at 9" series, an activity that is part of the 36th Benidorm International Music Competition and which, in this second edition, consolidates its commitment to bringing classical music to all audiences.
This series of concerts was launched yesterday by pianist Carla Román Vázquez, winner of the 25th Benidorm Music Competition last year. Before the concert began, the Councillor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, emphasised that it was "an honour and a joy to have Carla with us tonight." The young pianist began studying piano at the age of four, attended master classes with renowned and prestigious teachers, and made her debut with an orchestra at the age of ten. Shortly after, she gave her first solo concert.
She currently travels around the world to showcase her piano virtuosity and has won numerous national and international awards.
The Cultural Centre auditorium was well attended, and among the attendees were, in addition to the Councillor for Culture, several members of the municipal council, and the director of the International Music Course and Competition, José Antonio Gonzaga.
Carla Román began her program with a performance of F-sharp Major, Op. 28 No. 13, Prelude in E-flat, Op. 28 No. 14, and Prelude in D-flat Major, Op. 28 No. 15 by Frédéric Chopin. This was followed by Maurice Ravel's "Ondine" and Chopin's "Ballade in F minor," Op. 52 No. 4, and concluded with other works by the same composer, such as the "Sonata in B minor," Op. 58 No. 3 (Allegro Maestoso, Scherzo, Molto Vivace, Largo, Finale, Presto ma non tanto).
