The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Equality, Paquita Ripoll; members of the different municipal groups; and representatives of the LGBTI associations of Benidorm, have displayed on the main balcony of the City Hall the rainbow flag. A banner that will wave as a symbol in favor of diversity, tolerance and equality and in solidarity with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex collective that celebrates today, June 28, the International Pride Day, in commemoration of the Stonewall riots (New York, United States) of 1969, a date that is considered the start date of the LGBTI liberation movement.
