Benidorm City Council and Ecovidrio promote recycling during the camping of clubs

The Environment Councilor José Ramón González de Zárate, Ecovidrio representative, Roberto Fuentes, and the representative of the Penyes Association, David Marcos have made known all the details of Ecovidrio recycling campaign that will take place during the Camp of Penyes this weekend on Avenida Juan Pablo II.

The councilman of Environment has commented that "the idea of ​​carrying out a campaign on recycling during the camping arose from the good data collected in the Major Patron Festivities". Likewise, he recalled that "last year, paper, packaging and glass containers were put in place, and it is expected that these figures can be surpassed this year". De Zárate has appealed to all the supporters and people who want to attend the event to participate in the 'Peña recicla' campaign

Roberto Fuentes thanked "the collaboration of the City Council year after year in recycling issues"; a collaboration that "has been reflected in the good results of the city of Benidorm". Ecovidrio has wanted to participate in the camping as it is a time of great concentration of people to "raise awareness about the need to have a sustainable environment and, at the same time, collaborate with the environment."

As for the campaign, he mentioned that "a scale will be used in the camping area, two containers and there will be environmental educators from 12.00 to 16.00 hours inviting the supporters to bring the glass closer to the scale". This glass will be weighed and will take note of the kilos collected by each rock to draw, at the end of the event, three lots of products from the land for the winners. Glass is a resource that is used 100% and gives life to other products with similar characteristics. With its recycling, the increase of greenhouse gases is avoided and also landfills are collapsed.
