The inclusive play will take place on Saturday at the Cultural Center, with tickets on sale for 4 euros
Benidorm brings theater to people with disabilities with a staged reading of "The Little Prince."

Next Saturday, June 14th, the Benidorm Cultural Centre will host a fully inclusive theatrical performance of "The Little Prince." This is an initiative of the Department of Culture in collaboration with the National Organisation for the Blind (ONCE) and the podcast "Something Better Would Be Worse." The goal is to bring theatre closer to people with disabilities.
Tickets are now on sale at www.entradasatualcance.com for €4, including booking fees. The performance will consist of a staged reading of this Antoine de Saint-Exupéry classic, adapted and directed by Eduardo Gutiérrez, at 7:00 PM.
To make this performance fully inclusive, in collaboration with ONCE, attendees will be offered the option of wearing an eye mask (optional) to follow the performance under the same conditions as blind people. Likewise, there will be two sign language interpreters to bring the reading closer to people with hearing impairments.
“This is a performance that we are sure will be very enriching and whose objective is to include and bring culture closer to everyone, but especially to those who sometimes find it more difficult to enjoy a play due to their disabilities,” said Jaime Jesús Pérez, Councillor for Culture.
The staged reading of “The Little Prince” is a project by Eduardo Gutiérrez and the Telón Corto company, which is coming to Benidorm for its closing season.
