Benidorm has seven Benicán and Agility areas dedicated to our best friends
Benicán new pets' area in Rincón de Loix
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the councilors of Public Space and Citizenship Participation, José Ramón González de Zárate and Ana Pellicer, attended the new municipal facility in the morning where they met with some residents of the neighborhood and with their dogs premiering Benicán.
For a long time, "the neighbors themselves asked us to install a space like this," said González de Zárate, integrated with the gardens. A place where you can see the animals with their owners walking and which is now equipped with adequate facilities so that both can enjoy "safely and quietly".
The new facility has "650 m fenced and double-enclosed security entrance," the councilor pointed out, and specified that "benches and a wastebasket have been placed to collect animal droppings."
This Benicán is the first of the actions carried out by the City Council within the renovation and adaptation of the leisure areas of the Rincón de Loix park. As was recently advanced since the "A pie de calle" campaign, with the announcement that they were going to "fix all the swings." Public Space is working on it, which will entail the replacement of gravel, by artificial grass. Likewise, a 25 m zip line will be installed on an area of 125 m2, like the ones already in l’Aigüera and Foietes Parks.
González de Zárate has stressed that this "is the seventh installation" of this type, dedicated to our pets, in Benidorm. The one in Rincón joins those of Marina Alta Adolfo Suárez Avenue, Vicente Pérez Devesa, Foietes Park, Parque de Ocio Virgen del Rocío and Italia street.
In addition, the councilor has abounded, some of these pet parks have an ‘Agility’ area, equipped with devices with which dogs, accompanied by their owners, exercise.
