Public transport and bicycle use are gaining ground in Benidorm. This morning has entered a new service for the exclusive use of city bus and bicycle on Avenida de Cuba lane. The Councillor for Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate, visited this morning the road, accompanied by technicians of the Department and the concessionaire Llorente Bus, to monitor road markings of the reserved lane from now for city buses and cyclists. In the next phase the use of this lane will also be available for taxis. González de Zárate stressed that the launch of this new space not only helps to encourage the use of sustainable modes of transport in Benidorm, "but also serves us, he said, to improve safety conditions in a vial widely used for school transportation, just next to the Public school Miguel Hernandez, and the IES Mediterrània, since the maximum speed limit on the road it has dropped from 40 to 30 km / h.
