There will be medals for the top three in each category and a trophy for the club with the highest number of participants
310 swimmers will take part in the 23rd L'Illa Swimming Crossing, which takes place this Sunday

This coming Sunday, August 31st, the 23rd L'Illa Swim Crossing will be held, with 310 swimmers participating, according to the Benidorm City Council's Sports Department, which is organising the event in collaboration with the Citizen Safety, Mobility, and Beaches departments, the Yacht Club, and other partner companies. The event covers the distance between the island and Mal Pas beach—two nautical miles, equivalent to 3.6 kilometres.
The Councillor for Sports, Javier Jordá, announced that participants will receive their race numbers between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday at the port, and that swimmers will board the boat that will take them to L'Illa at 7:45 a.m.
The start is scheduled for 8:15 a.m., and the first swimmer is expected to arrive approximately 45 minutes later. Once again, Miguel Bou is the favourite to start this year, having won in recent years. Jordá also emphasised that all participants must use their approved location buoy during the swim.
The medals and trophies will be presented after the participants' arrival. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers, as well as to the top three in each category. A trophy will also be awarded to the club with the highest number of participating swimmers.
