234 minors from Benidorm obtain a place in the three municipal nursery schools and the SAPI

234 Benidorm minors from 0 to 2 years old have obtained a place in the three municipal nursery schools-Les Fontanelles, Les Caletes, and El Tossalet- and in the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI) for the 2023/2024 academic year, according to a report today the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno. The provisional lists have been published today on the municipal website (https://benidorm.org). They can also be consulted in the offices of the Department of Education and the nursery schools themselves.

Moreno detailed that “of the 234 places awarded, all of them to minors registered in Benidorm, 16 correspond to babies under 1 year of age; 140 are for 1-year-olds; and the remaining 78 are from P2”. The councillor indicated that "for this next course 290 applications have been received, so the offer of available places has been covered."

After the provisional places, "56 minors are currently on the waiting list, of which 17 are registered in Benidorm and 39 in other locations." However, once the entire process of claims and allegations has been completed, "only minors with the family unit registered in Benidorm will be incorporated into the official waiting list, who are the ones who have priority when it comes to accessing the places in the municipal network”.

Moreno indicated that "as in previous courses, there may be movement in the P2 waiting list, since in parallel to the process of schooling in the municipal nursery schools, the application for a place for the classrooms has also been developed. of 2-year-olds authorized by the Ministry in the Aitana, Vasco Núñez de Balboa, Mestre Gaspar López, La Cala, and Puig Campana schools”.

The councillor of Education reported that "the period for claims to the provisional lists is open from today until Friday the 19th." These claims must be filed with the School Council of the center requested as the first option. On May 24, the final lists will be published, which may be invoked until the 26th. Subsequently, each center will set the registration date.
