Toni Pérez receives Ane Armas, silver medalist at the European Wakeskate Championships in Denmark

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, today received the Benidorm athlete Ane Armas Segovia, who won the silver medal at the European Wakeskate Championship held in Denmark on August 26. With them was also the Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros.

The 16-year-old from Benidorm was teaming up with the Catalan Telma Cester, who, at 17, won the gold medal in the competition. A Spanish team made up of seven members in different disciplines.

Ane Armas also got a bronze medal at the Spanish Championship last season in Wakeboard.

Pérez also received Daniel Armas, who won the gold and silver medals at the European Cable Ski Championship held on September 24 and 25 in the town of Weert (The Netherlands). Armas took gold in senior slalom. Later, in the final phase with the rest of the participants from more than ten countries, she won second place in the figures category.
