Stage 20 will depart this Saturday at 12.00 from Madrid Avenue and will run through the city for 10 kilometers

Teledeporte Channel will broadcast live and from the start the 20th stage of the Tour of Spain this Saturday, September 10, at 12.00. The mayor Toni Pérez has confirmed that the bradcast will include the final stretch of Madrid Avenue and the 10 kilometers in the test that run along the beaches and the main arteries of the city to get to the CV-70 roundabout which connects to the road of Finestrat. The television signal Teledeporte will reach 190 countries and Benidorm will in screen for 18 minutes, which will start in the first line of the Levante beach and which will pass through: Avenida de Europa, Valencia, Alfonso Puchades, Jaime I, Armada Española, Murtal, Juan Pablo II and the Mayor Eduardo Zaplana. From there it will connect with the CV-70 after leaving Benidorm. Pérez said that "taking into account the international television coverage of the Tour" and "its promotional projection", Benidorm will show "the most significant and representative of the city, the best of Benidorm, such as beaches, our avenues, the skyline and our natural environment". The mayor has stressed that only in Spain, the Tour has an average of 1.4 million viewers a day, with peaks up to 2 million. At the international level, the audience is higher in countries like Netherlands or Denmark, and Belgium - "one of our most loyal markets", reaches 50% of share and the presence of journalists from over 25 countries is added. The mayor stressed that the department of Mobility has been working for long to prepare all the traffic device, considering alternative routes for residents and hotels affected by the route and therefore by movement restrictions. Pérez has "apologized" because of the inconveniences that can be caused, and has clarified that reports about traffic cuts and changes that can occur will be on the municipal website.
