From tomorrow until the 15th, you can rate the tapas offered by 20 establishments and have a chance to win a double ticket to the festival final
TapaFest kicks off the activities of Benidorm Fest
In just a few days, the fifth edition of Benidorm Fest will begin, with 18 artists vying for the Golden Mermaid award and the €150,000 prize. And to whet your appetite, tomorrow, Friday, February 6th, TapaFest kicks off—a gastronomic initiative promoted by Abreca and the Benidorm City Council, with 20 restaurants participating.
From tomorrow until Sunday the 15th, participating establishments will offer tapas for €3.50; creations that combine creativity, quality ingredients, and a delightful culinary experience. As in previous years, people will be able to rate the different tapas, entering them into a drawing for a pair of tickets to experience Benidorm Fest 2026 final live.
The establishments participating in this fourth edition of TapaFest are: Arrocería La Marina, Baldo, Bodegón Aurrera, Cervecería L’Abadía, El Linaje de Castilla, La Cava Aragonesa, La Fava, La Juana, La Pinta Beach, Malaspina, Marisquería El Puerto, Mos, Pinocchio Playa, Pintxos Aurrera, Restaurante Esturión, Shija Sabores de Los Balcanes, Taberna Andaluza, Tabernita del Sur, and Tapería Aurrerá.
But TapaFest isn't the only activity planned for this weekend related to Benidorm Fest. On Saturday at 12:30 pm, an exhibition will be showcased at the City Hall's Art Space (l’Espai d’Art) with five editions of the legendary Benidorm International Song Festival. Specifically, the exhibition focuses on the editions from 1960—the year the Golden Mermaid was established as the festival's trophy—to 1965. It offers a journey through original documents, photos, magazines, and programs, including the two outfits worn by last year's winner, Melody, and other surprises.
The exhibition will be open until Sunday, the 15th. From Monday to Friday, the exhibition will be open from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. At the weekend, the opening hours will be from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00, except on the 15th, when it will only be open in the morning.
Just a few meters from the exhibition, from February 10th to 15th, Plaza SSMM Reyes de España will be transformed into a festive and gastronomic space with local food trucks, complemented by musical performances.
