This morning the signing of the document establishing the Territorial Pact for Employment in Marina Baixa took place in El Albir. The mayors and mayors of the 18 municipalities of the region together with union and business representatives were summoned.

After the signing, the official photo of the act was produced and the first Governing Council was held, in an extraordinary session, which had to choose the presidency, vice-presidency, projects to be developed, and the subsidy application chapter.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, present in the constitution of the entity, has proposed Benidorm's candidacy for the presidency, recalling that "the signed text itself already opted for Benidorm for possibilities and the link of all the municipalities of the region with Benidorm ”, where the tourist capital of the Costa Blanca exerts the driving capacity of the main activity.

After the pertinent deliberations, taking into account that Altea has also presented a candidacy, the presidency has been voted, which has fallen to Benidorm. The vice-presidency, in Benimantell.

Toni Pérez thanked the votes received and reiterated "Benidorm's determination to make a region and the commitment to carry out the Pact for Employment of the Marina Baixa".

Following the agenda, the two axes of work focused on promoting specialized VET and the labor insertion of groups considered to be a priority have been indicated. After that, the subsidy lines to be processed have been indicated and the Benidorm City Council has been empowered to carry out the relevant procedures, after which Benidorm has assumed the presidency and convened the first working session for next Monday.

The delegates of Benidorm City Council in the Marina Baixa Employment Pact are the heads of Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, and Organization and Management of Human Resources, Ángela Zaragozí.

The municipalities of l'Alfàs del Pi, Altea, Benidorm, Benimantell, Bolulla, Callosa d'En Sarriá, Castell de Guadalest, Finestrat, Confrides, La Nucía, Polop, Relleu, Sella and Tárbena, together with to Benifato and the pending final procedures of Beniardá, Orcheta, and Villajoyosa. Likewise, the UGT and CCOO unions as well as the Valencian Business Confederation.

The act of signing the Constitution Document has been attended by the General Director of Employment and Training, Rocío Briones, acting as secretary and the coordinator of the FVMP-Labora Agreement for the province of Alicante.
