Sacred music concert this Tuesday, April 15, at El Carmen Church

This Tuesday, April 15, Nuestra Señora del Carmen Parish in Benidorm will host a sacred music concert by the Camerata Ars Cantica de Benidorm, which will perform alongside other groups such as the Choir of Altea Philharmonic Society; the Ifach Choir of Calp; and the Orchestra and Choir of Altea Professional Music Conservatory. All of them will be conducted by Ximo Sastre Torrens and Jaime Francisco Ripoll Martíns, accompanied by María Eugenia Palomares on the organ.
Benidorm City Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, announced that the recital will be at 8:00 p.m., with free admission until capacity is reached. He invited residents and tourists to enjoy this concert, whose repertoire will include "great pieces of sacred music by Handel, Vivaldi, and Rameau."
The Symphony Act III, Arrival of the Queen of Sheba from G.F. Handel's "Solomon" will be the first of the works performed in the concert, which will continue in the first half with Antonio Vivaldi's "Concerto Grosso in C Major for Two Flutes and Strings, Op. 47 No. 2."
The second half includes J.P. Rameau's "La Nuit," and will return to Vivaldi to perform the "Gloria in D Major, RV 589."
