16 first-class restaurants, from October 19 to 27 and only 20 euros per guest

The Rice Days say goodbye to Benidorm Gastronomic until next year

14 October 2019
Las Jornadas de los Arroces despiden el Benidorm Gastronómico hasta el próximo año

16 restaurants in Benidorm will participate in the VIII Rice Days, fourth and final stage of the Benidorm Gastronomic 2019 that will be held from October 19 to 27. This has been announced today by the mayor, Toni Pérez, at a press conference accompanied with the president of Abreca, Javier del Castillo and the patroness of the event, Trini Mas.

“Rice in Benidorm, in the province of Alicante, in the Valencian Community is an essential part of ourselves. We are rice farmers, Mediterranean, genuine and, in addition, with a cuisine that innovates permanently, ”said Toni Pérez. Rice transforms our gastronomy into a “sign of identity” and a “first class attraction” which makes each participating establishment “a showcase of Benidorm”.

The mayor has positively valued the effort made by Abreca in the organization, and also the collaboration of Gastroeventos, through its application for mobile devices that supports Benidorm Gastronomic. Toni Pérez has been convinced that The Rice Days will return "to be a success of participation and a success to meet the flavors of Benidorm forever."

In his speech, Javier del Castillo said that they are the “star event” that every year “increases the level thanks to the quality of our products”. The president of Abreca has mentioned some surveys that indicate "that 65% of the tourism that goes to the destinations does it for the gastronomy" and this has been and is "very important part of the tourism that our city offers".

For his part, Trini Mas, believes that the Rice Days are the most anticipated event by the public. "People," she said, "have been waiting for them all year." The patroness of Benidorm Gastronomic has encouraged tourists and neighbors to enjoy them because they will find a wide offer, “from the most modern rice, now” to the usual.
