Arturo Cabrillo has appeared before the media as new councilor of Sports of the City of Benidorm, in the presentation of the second edition of the International Tournament 'Yana Batyrchina' organized by the Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Benidorm. During the event he was accompanied by his predecessor in office, Ana Pellicer and the president of the club organizer, Lilia Nikolova.

The II International Tournament 'Yana Batyrchina' will be held next weekend (June 10 and 11) at the Palau d'Esports l'Illa in Benidorm and entry to the event is free. More than 220 gymnasts from countries such as the Russian Federation, Bulgaria, Norway and Spain will compete in three levels (groups A, B and C). In addition, depending on the age, gymnasts will rival one or more devices. Lila Nikolova has said of Batyrchina, the athlete who names the tournament, who is a Russian gymnast "seven times world champion, five times European champion and silver medalist" at the Olympic Games in Atlanta. A woman "very interested" in making these trophies throughout Europe and if she has chosen Benidorm fundamentally is "because she likes Benidorm".

At the local level, eight gymnasts will participate: Lucía González, Kira Dalua, Sofía García, Patricina Vinogrado, Masha Onosvskaya, Lucia Fuentes, Mars Shidlowskaya and Kalina Romanenkova. "The children's team," said the president of the club, who won the bronze medal this year in the Spanish championship. Nikolova has also announced that the male gymnast, Javier Garcia, will make an exhibition. "It will be the first time that the Russians see a boy" performing rhythmic gymnastics "because in other countries it is still not allowed," he recalled.

As a complement to this tournament, a masterclass has been scheduled for national coach Anna Baranova on Saturday 10, which will also be attended by Polina Berezina's individual gymnast.

During the presentation of this championship, Ana Pellicer has transferred the witness of the Department of Sports to the new manager, has shown her commitment "to continue working with him" in everything he needs and has wished "all the luck in the world in this process that we started today as a new government team. " For his part, Arturo Cabrillo thanked the words of his colleague to "congratulate her on the work done" so far in Sports and has expressed his willingness to work hard to "be at the level" reached in this area of municipal management, which Pellicer has taken it for granted.
