Cruz de Mayo del barrio El Campo-Plaza de España
El Campo-Plaza España Neighborhood Association celebrated yesterday, May 3, the traditional festival of the May Cross, a celebration with great roots in different Regions and with which the discovery of the Holy Cross is remembered. At Plaza de España and around a cross decorated with flowers, residents of the neighbourhood and members of the municipal corporation gathered with Mayor Toni Pérez and the Fiestas Councilor, Mariló Cebreros, at the head to participate in this celebration.
After the blessing of the Holy Cross by the priest of El Buen Pastor church, Juan Bautista Samper, the Tramontana folk group, from the cultural association of the same name, performed several 'songs' dedicated to women and danced jotas from La Mancha.
