Professor Antonio García will be the maintainer of the representatives of the Town Charter 2022

Professor Antonio García, former director of IES Pere María Orts i Bosch and with a long teaching career behind him, will be the maintainer of the act of representation of the Granting of the Town Charter, on the occasion of the 697th anniversary. For this reason, the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, received this afternoon the members of the Town Charter Grup and this year's maintainer.

An act was attended, in addition to García himself, by the president of the Group, Mari Luz Navarro, the members of the Group Esperanza Rostoll and Pascual Almiñana, the president of the Associació de Penyes 'Verge del Sofratge', Adrián Romero, and the councilors Festivals and Culture, Jesús Carrobles and Jaime Jesús Pérez.

The performance of the granting of the Town Charter in the year 1325 will take place next Saturday, May 7 at Plaza de San Jaime, although the previous week will be full of commemorative events.
Thus, on May 2 at 8:00 p.m., the exhibition ‘100 years of Pere María Orts i Bosch’ will be inaugurated in the Espai d’Art of the City Council. On the 3rd at 7:30 p.m. the opening of the exhibition 'XXX Anniversary of the Town Charter Gorup' will take place at Casa del Fester and half an hour later Rafael Alemany's conference on 'Pere María Orts i Bosch: L'home i el seu pensament '.

A day later, the Assembly Hall of La Casa del Fester will host the play 'Pudo suceder' from 8:00 p.m. by the Town Charter Group. On Thursday, May 5, there will be a concert by Benidorm Unión Musical Chamber Orchestra.

On Saturday the representation of the Town Charter will be held starting at 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday the program closes with a tribute concert to Pere María Orts by Societat Musical L’Illa in Óscar Esplá auditorium. All the events commemorating the anniversary are organized by the Town Charter Group, Associació de Penyes and the Departments of Culture and Festivals.
