The pilota players Pere Roc II, Héctor, and Carlos won the 36th ‘Trofeu Nadal de Benidorm. Memorial Vicent Pérez Devesa of Valencian pilota this Sunday, after defeating José Salvador, Conillet, and Bueno in a hard-fought match. The Trinquet, named after the Benidorm mayor who passed away in 2006, hosted the matches of this trophy, the longest-running in the Valencian Community, played in the ‘escala i corda’ modality. Numerous fans gathered to watch both the semifinals and today's grand final.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, attended this event celebrating the local sport, along with the Councilor for Sports, Javier Jordá, and other members of the local government. In addition to watching the match, they accompanied Vicente Pérez Agulló, son of Vicente Pérez Devesa, and other family members both at the opening ceremony of the final and at the subsequent awards ceremony, which was also attended by the vice president of the Valencian Pilota Federation, Juanra Such.

The mayor emphasised that Benidorm has once again been “faithful to the occasion with one of the most emblematic and beloved trophies for players and fans of pilota,” given that it is one of the longest-running competitions and brings together the best pilota players from the Marina Alta region. He also applauded “the level of the match,” in which the ‘reds’ Pere Roc II, Héctor, and Carlos rallied to win the trophy.

Pérez also wished all attendees “that we will see each other again at the thirty-seventh edition,” which will be held during Christmas 2026.

The first semifinal, held on December 21st, pitted Giner, Álvaro Gimeno, and Jesús against José Salvador, Conillet, and Bueno, with the latter emerging victorious. In the second semifinal, which took place last Tuesday, Pere Roc II from Benidorm, along with Héctor and Carlos, defeated Francés, Pere Ribes, and Guillem Palau.
