Natalia Caballé exhibits 'Otros mundos' at the Espai d'Art of the City Council

12 July 2023
Exposición de Natalia Caballé

The Espai d'Art del Ayuntamiento hosts today the exhibition 'Otros Mundos' by Natalia Caballé, an itinerant exhibition that can be visited until August 10. The inauguration was attended by the artist herself, the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, and members of the municipal corporation.

Natalia Caballe, in addition to having a degree in Economics, is also a graduate in Fine Arts and "has had many exhibitions in the province" as explained by the Councilor for Culture. The one inaugurated today has also been at Casino Mediterráneo.

The author explained that the sample “was scheduled for the year 2020, but with the pandemic, it was suspended. This year we have resumed it and for that reason, I am grateful for the option of bringing it to this space”. Caballé pointed out that this delay has led "to add some more work" and she has highlighted that the exhibition venue "is a large space with lots of light".

Natalia Caballé explained during the inauguration that she has used the watercolor technique and "later I have digitized the result and from that, I have made digital collages". She has also indicated that her objective is to “generate the unknown among those who see it and that each one suggests something different and different. That's the spirit".

Caballé told us that "with the collage technique I have searched for the elements that most suggest me and in the end what is sought are combinations of new elements to see what appears next". In the exhibition, you can find adaptations of abstract paintings, images of planets and imaginary moons, and collages of different compositions.

The Councilor for Culture, on his side, has expressed his "satisfaction" with having this exhibition "which can be visited by residents and tourists during City Hall opening hours."
