The athletics tracks of  Ciudad Deportiva 'Guillermo Amor' in Benidorm, have hosted this morning the twenty-second edition of the Adapted Sports Games of Asmibe (Association of People with Disabilities of Benidorm and Region), which have had the support and collaboration of the Benidorm City Council.

More than 500 people, 250 of them with functional diversity; members of schools, special education centres, occupational centres and residences in Benidorm and the province of Alicante have participated in a sporting, playful and supportive experience that began shortly after 10:00 in the morning and ended with a brotherhood meal in the sports facilities.

The councillors of Sports and Social Welfare, Mariló Cebreros and Ángela Llorca, along with other members of the Municipal Corporation and the provincial deputy José Ramón González de Zárate, have accompanied the participants in the day and, together with the president of Asmibe, Mari Fernández, have been in charge of handing out the trophies at the festive closing ceremony.

For the celebration of these games, the City Council has prepared a security and support device that, at all times, has ensured the correct development of the competition that has included assisted races, speed, long jump, shot put, petanque, psychomotricity circuit, goal kick, basketball hoop, tennis, minigolf. Spider web, bowling and games of skill.

For its correctness, the organization has had the collaboration of students of the Higher Degree of Technician in Teaching and Socio-sports Animation (TAFAD) of the Lope de Vega International School in Benidorm and the IES l'Arabí de l'Alfàs del Pi, as well as technicians municipal sports (Department of Sports) and the Social Welfare area of ​​the City Council.

The CEIP Mestre Gaspar López, CEIP Serra Gelada, CEE Secanet (Villajoyosa), TAPIS-Benidorm, CO Doble Amor, AFEM-Marina Baixa, CEEM-Benidorm, CRIS-Benidorm, Integrament Protected Housing (Benidorm) centers have participated in the Adapted Sports Games. ), CO les Talaies (Villajoyosa), CO Y C de Día La Xara (Denia), ACODIP CO San Pascual (Ibi), Terramar APSA (Alicante), Fundación San Francisco de Borja, Centro San Rafael (Alicante) and ASMIBE.
