Before the summer, the intersection's renovation will be completed with the installation of another 12 elements and new streetlamps

Mobility reinforces the road and pedestrian safety of El Cruce with new luminous bollards

Movilidad refuerza la seguridad vial y peatonal de El Cruce con nuevos bolardos luminosos

The Department of Mobility has reinforced the road and pedestrian safety of the intersection of Beniardá, Jaime I, Alfonso Puchades and Tomás Ortuño avenues with the installation of a dozen new bright bollards, as reported by the area councilor, José Ramón González de Zárate. After the good result of the first bollards of this type that we placed last year, it has been decided to implement these elements throughout El Cruce, for a matter of safety and aesthetics, since it is one of the busiest points of vehicles and pedestrians of Benidorm. These luminous bollards work with electric light and are low consumption.

Last year, nine bollards of light were placed in the islets closest to Alfonso Puchades Avenue, while now they have been installed in the ones closest to Tomás Ortuño and Jaime I. The idea is to install another dozen in the central islands, thus completing all the intersection before summer. An action that will be complemented with the implementation of the new lampposts, included in the project of the third phase of renovation of Jaime I Avenue.

The City Council also acted on accessibility, lowering the islets and installing devices for people with visual disabilities.
