Benidorm Town Hall has observed a minute of silence in protest of the latest case of gender violence that has taken place in Spain, the murder yesterday of a woman and her two children allegedly at the hands of her husband in the town of Campo de Criptana in Ciudad Real. According to the investigation, after the crime, the man committed suicide by throwing himself into the void from the balcony of his home, in the center of the city.
The municipal corporation, with the second deputy mayor at the head, José Ramón González de Zárate, has shown unanimously the strongest rejection of gender violence and zero tolerance towards abusers. From the Department of Equality has once again insisted on the existence of the free number against abuse 016, serving the victims 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and that leaves no trace in the telephone bill.
