At the closing of the General Assembly of the Hosbec employers' association, he also emphasized the "workforce" of tourism

The mayor emphasizes that Benidorm's hotels champion sustainability in "its three dimensions"

Benidorm Mayor Toni Pérez has emphasised that the city's hotels have championed sustainability in its broadest sense for decades: environmental, economic, and social. Specifically, he stated that "I don't know of a single establishment, of those that have now been around for decades—some more than six or seven—in Benidorm, that at every moment in its history and its life plan hasn't had these three fundamental aspects of sustainability at the forefront of its management, its ownership, and its workers."

Toni Pérez made these statements during the closing ceremony of the General Assembly of the Hosbec employers' association, held in Benidorm, also attended by the President of the Generalitat (Regional Government), Carlos Mazón, and the president of the association, Fede Fuster. Among those attending the event was the Regional Minister for Innovation, Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, Marián Cano.

During his speech, the mayor emphasised "the workforce" of tourism; "the industry that best redistributes wealth," which generates thousands of jobs in Benidorm, and whose fundamental ingredient is spreading happiness." He also highlighted the work, scope, and relevance of Hosbec, the association founded in the city in 1977. The organisation currently encompasses 373 establishments throughout the Valencian Community and more than 115,000 beds. These numbers, he emphasised, "are a testament to a job well done."

He acknowledged "the determination of the people who promoted the Hosbec project" and that of "those who have managed to guide it to this point"; entrepreneurs who know that tourism "is worthwhile" and "is essential."
