The Batiste Fuster Prize of the Rotary Club that is delivered for the first time, for 'Diversilandia'
The 'HiBody' project wins the 2022 Entrepreneurial Ideas contest
The 'HiBody' idea developed by Horacio Medina and Emilio García, which brings together sports activities in an application, has won first prize in the sixteenth edition of the Entrepreneurial Ideas Contest organized by the Department of Employment and Local Development, delivered this afternoon at the Hall Plenary Session of the Benidorm City Council.
The Entrepreneurial Ideas Contest returns after the parenthesis forced by the pandemic and of the 14 projects presented, ten have been selected for the final phase that has been developed today.
Before the award ceremony, Mónica Gómez, Councilor for Employment and Local Development, addressed those present to thank them for their involvement in the initiative and encouraged them to continue "with those dreams and illusions" reminding everyone that " simply for the fact of being here” all the projects could be considered “as winners”.
The mayor recalled that the City Council "is here to support" those who are launching to create new ideas and has encouraged companies to use the municipal Espai Coworking to "share ideas and synergies in the development of your projects"
The jury of the Entrepreneurial Ideas Contest in this edition was made up of the delegate of Jovempa (Young Entrepreneurs of the Province of Alicante) in Benidorm and the Marina Baixa, Dinonisio Navarro; the director of Invattur, Juan Martínez; the president of Memba (Business Women of the Marina Baixa), Mª José Tent; the representative of the (European Center for Innovative Companies) of Elche, Toni Hernández; and the president of the Benidorm Rotary Club, Alfredo Melgar.
After the deliberations, the first prize of 2,500 euros and the corresponding supporting diploma went to the 'HiBody' application, a software dedicated to sports, created by Horacio Medina and Emilio José García. The second, out of 1,500, went to 'Eco-Moment', by Mª Eugenia Gruosso. The first honorable mention, endowed with 500 euros, for the Greatest Social Responsibility went to 'Dog Bag', by Juan Francisco Olivo and the second, also with 500 euros, to the Greatest Tourism Promotion, 'Taxi to Airport', by Juan Francisco Moreno.
Finally, the 'Diversilandia' project, by Mª Jesús Villén and Mª Dolores Pérez, has received from the hands of the president of the Rotary Club the 2,000 euros of the 'Batiste Fuster Award', which rewards the initiative that best contemplates aspects such as accessibility, solidarity, quality, sustainability, innovation and creativity.
The projects classified in first and second place will have the opportunity to take their first steps from the Espai Coworking of the Employment and Local Development Agency, along with other innovative business initiatives. Located on Calle Juan Fuster Zaragoza, in Ricón de Loix, this municipal centre offers common reception, Internet or photocopying services to the companies that stay there, reducing costs and facilitating collaboration between the different initiatives.
