The flutist Francisco López plays with the pianist Pablo Sánchez in the second concert of the cycle Great Performances

The repertoire was made up of pieces by Faure, Debussy, Borne, Messiaen and Prokofiev

Tonight the second concert of the series "Great Performances 2016 ' has taken place, organized by the department of Culture and the Municipal Conservatory of Music' José Pérez Barceló 'of Benidorm. Francisco López flutist and the pianist Pablo Sánchez thrilled an audience who enjoyed the masterful interpretation of works by Fauré, Debussy, Borne, Messiaen and Prokofiev. In addition to this series of concerts in the afternoon yesterday, Francisco López gave a master class in the conservatory to flute students who had the opportunity to improve essential, technical and interpretive aspects. Francisco López, from Plasencia (Cáceres), is first flute in Gothenburg Opera and a regular contributor to the Symphony Orchestra of the Danish Radio and the Frankfurt Opera. He studied at the conservatory 'García Matos' in his hometown and later in Zaragoza and Gothenburg. His perseverance and talent have led him to win four awards at the prestigious ARD Music Competition in Munich. Pablo Sánchez is a superior professor of piano at the Conservatory of Music of Badajoz. As a teacher he has worked in the music schools of Badajoz, Hervas and Madrid. Currently he teaches piano at the Music Education Centre 'Katarina Gurska' in the capital of Spain. Next week, the lecture and concert series '2016 Great Performances' will performed by the pianist Iván Martín.
