La final de la Copa Diputació d’Alacant de pilota se disputará en Benidorm el 13 de abril

This morning the twelfth edition of 'escala i corda' and the fourth of professional women's 'raspall' of the Alicante Provincial Council Cup were presented at the El Torrejó municipal building.

The Councilor for Sports, Javi Jordá, presented the event together with the number one in the women's 'raspall' ranking, Victoria Díez and the Benidorm pelota player Pere Roc II who forms a team with Tomás.

Jordá has announced that the tournament will be held between March 22 and April 13. "The Copa Diputació - he said - will visit the triquets of Petrer, Xàbia, Orba, Benissa, Ondara, Pedreguer, Murla, l'Alqueria d'Asnar and Benidorm, which will host the final" that will take place at the Alcalde Vicent Pérez Devesa Triquet in Benidorm.

The Councilor for Sports welcomed the participants who had gathered at the Torrejó stadium to Benidorm to learn about the competition schedule firsthand and wished them all the best of luck.

For her part, Victoria Díez, on behalf of the players, stated that she was "happy to be included in this championship," allowing her to tour and play matches in locations "we don't normally visit" and thus achieve "greater visibility." Díez expressed her conviction that "with everything we've improved in recent years, we can put on a good show for people to enjoy."

Finally, Pere Roc II expressed his "satisfaction" with the progress of the Alicante Provincial Council tournament. "In the past," he explained, "it was a very short tournament, but now it's very important and the best players participate."

The Benidorm native has admitted he hasn't seen all the teams, but believes there are "some very good ones" and expressed hope for the final on April 13 in Benidorm because "it's my home base, where I usually train, and I can share that day with the participants and my teammate Tomás."
