Devotion and tradition in the commemoration of Santa Faz festivity in Benidorm

Benidorm celebrated the traditional Festival of the Holy Face this Thursday, one of the most deeply rooted events in the local festival calendar, supported by the Fiestas Department, headed by Mariló Cebreros.
At 7:00 p.m., the Church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna hosted a mass attended by a large municipal representation led by the First Deputy Mayor, Ana Pellicer. Also present were the 2025 Queen and Child Queens, Paula Pascual and Aitana Pérez; the President of the Commission, Susana Martínez; and the President of Verge del Sofratge Penyes Association, Jonathan López.
After the Mass, the pilgrimage began, to the rhythm of the Xirimiters de la Marina, which toured the old town to finally pray at the small altar dedicated to the Holy Face, which is set up each year on the street that bears its name.
At the end of the event, the Santa Faz Festival Committee invited participants to taste the typical anise and mistela rolls.
