The councilman of Sports, Arturo Cabrillo, has delivered this morning the diplomas to the Primary students of CEIP Vasco Núñez de Balboa who have participated in the Children School of Basic Bicycle throughout the course. An extracurricular sports activity that has been taking place since last February and in which the students have received practical theoretical and circulation classes in order to familiarize them with the use of bicycles in the urban environment.
The initiative, which has also been held at the CEIP Els Tolls, is the result of the collaboration of the neighborhood association, Benidorm Cycling Club and the MBxB (Mesa Benidorm pro Bicicleta), with the councils of Sports and Mobility. In addition to the diplomas, the students have been provided with information on the network of urban roads adapted to this means of transport and how they should be circulated on them. Benidorm already has more than 70 km and will reach the hundred soon.
