The violinist David Ruiz, winner of last year's International Music Competition, and the pianist Blanca Peris inaugurated the 'Classics at 9' concert series last night, organized by the Department of Culture of Benidorm City Council. This concert also served to inaugurate the XXXV edition of the Benidorm International Music Course and the XXV Music Competition, which will take place throughout this week at the José Pérez Barceló Municipal Conservatory and will bring together prestigious performers from the different specialities taught. Among them, Michal Dmochowski, José Luis García, Mariano García, Savva Fatkulin, Angel Sanzo and Conrado Moya, who will be accompanied by repertoire pianists Graham Jackson (cello), Miguel Ángel Rodríguez (oboe), Takahiro Mita (saxophone) and Elizaveta Yaroshinskaia ( fiddle).

The recital, which practically filled half the capacity of the Cultural Center's auditorium and was attended by several members of the municipal Corporation, is the first of the concerts that will take place throughout this week, until next Friday, and which They will take place in this same scenario starting at 9 p.m. All of them will bring together great international concert artists and will be free, although limited to the capacity of the room, which is 450 seats, as recalled by the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez.

Programming

This Monday, July 1, the program will have two parts. The first will be a 'four-hand piano' by Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and Graham Jackson and the second, a violin, cello and piano trio with Savva Fatkulin, Ignasi Kzreminski and Elizaveta Yaroshinskaia. Tomorrow, Tuesday, it will be the turn of Ángel Sanzo (piano), José Luis García Vegara (oboe) and Takahiro Mita (piano).

On Wednesday the Final of the XXV International Music Competition in the piano specialty will take place. On Thursday, the 4th, this 'Classics at 9' will be dedicated to mental health care, for which a conference has been organized by psychologist Guillermo Dalia titled 'Ansiedad escénica en las Artes'.
Finally, on Friday it will be the turn of the concert by Mariano García (saxophone), Conrado Moya (marimba) and Aniana Jaime (piano).

The mayor of Culture has invited citizens to “enjoy this cycle” and recalled that, although they are framed within the International Course and the Music Competition, “all concerts are open to the public and do not require admission or prior invitation.”.
