Culture presents the book by Blanca Navarro from Benidorm 'Al salir de Yad VaShem'

The Department of Culture of the Benidorm City Council, in collaboration with the local Lions Club, presents tomorrow, Thursday, June 1, the book 'Al salir de Yad VaShem', by the author Blanca Navarro. The appointment, which will be presented by the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, will take place at 8:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the Town Hall and at the end of it there will be a solidarity sale of the book to benefit the activities of the Club of Lions of Benidorm. Admission is free.

Blanca Navarro completed her years at Nuestra Señora de los Dolores school and studied Medicine at the Miguel Hernández University in Alicante, specializing in Psychiatry. She completed her doctoral studies at the University of Salamanca and is currently the director of the Mental Health area of l'Hospitalet de Llobregat at the Mental Health Care Complex, Benito Menni. She is also a professor of Psychiatry and Forensic Psychopathology at the International University of Catalonia.

Her training was oriented toward knowledge of criminal human behavior, in judicial and penitentiary environments and she completed the Master's Degree in Legal, Forensic, and Criminological Psychopathology. In her need to understand evil, she tries to find answers in the book. In 1989 she traveled to Israel for the first time and since that first visit, Judaism and Israel have always been a part of her life.

In 2017 she was elected deputy in the Parliament of Catalonia and from the Foreign Action Commission, she established a relationship with the Jewish communities of Barcelona and Spain and carried out intense parliamentary activity in the fight against anti-Semitism.
