La ‘Crida’ anuncia un año más el inicio de las Fallas de Benidorm 2020

Hundreds of neighbors and visitors came to witness the act organized by the three fallas commissions in Benidorm; this afternoon the start of the 2020 Fallas has been announced. In the act they the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, the Councilor for Fiestas, Jesus Carrobles and various members of the municipal corporation have been present.

Toni Pérez spoke a few words to the attendees, especially thanking "the work and effort you make from the commissions to maintain a party that has the entire Valencian tradition." The mayor has also invited visitors and tourists in Benidorm who were witnessing the event to "return in Fallas to enjoy a party open to all and the sun of Benidorm."

Before the words of the mayor, the president of the Local Board Fallera, José Alcántara Sánchez, the representatives of the three commissions with their banners and the major falleras were taking the stage: Nadia León Soler and Selena Cortés Domínguez as the falleras of the Els Tolls Fault; Verónica Perulero Tomás as falleras of Falla Rincón; and Sonia Ferré Moreno and Valeria del Sufragio Sánchez Molina as falleras of Falla Benidorm.

The five falleras delivered a joint speech in which they encouraged the city to participate in their Josefine festivities and to maintain the fallera tradition, ending with the traditional “Vixca les falles i Vixca Benidorm!”. To finish the event, the hymns of Benidorm and the Valencian Community sounded.
