The City Council closes several parks and cemeteries in anticipation of strong gusts of wind due to coastal phenomena

Benidorm City Council is closing several urban parks and the two cemeteries in the city in anticipation of possible strong gusts of wind linked to coastal phenomena during the day on Tuesday, March 4. Specifically, the closure affects Elche, Foietes, l’Aigüera and Séquia Mare Parks, and ‘Verge del Sofratge’ and ‘Sant Jaume’ cemeteries.
Throughout this morning, maximum winds of up to 30 kilometers per hour have been recorded in some parts of Benidorm. The Generalitat Valenciana maintains the yellow warning for coastal phenomena, which could translate into waves of 2 and 3 meters and winds of up to 60 kilometers.
The City Council has asked the population to take extreme precautions.
